Sasken Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Software Test & Release Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to high-quality testing, validation, and debugging of 2G/3G/LTE/5G modem and UE protocol stacks, while collaborating with leading network operators and equipment manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, debug, and provide technical support within assigned areas.
• Develop and execute test plans and cases for modem/UE protocol stack and interoperability testing across 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies.
• Perform regression testing, log collection, issue analysis, and resolution in coordination with internal teams and external network vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent).
• Ensure adherence to quality, productivity, and delivery timelines.
• Follow defined work procedures, guidelines, and reporting practices including regular status updates to Team Leads or Project Managers.
• Continuously enhance technical skills through self-study, training, and assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• Engineering graduate (B.E/B.Tech) or MCA.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in software testing or protocol testing.

Technical Competencies:

• Sound understanding of 3GPP standards, network signaling, air interface, and Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols (UE & RAN side) along with NAS layer interactions.
• Experience with protocol stack testing, interoperability testing, and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with tools like QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism, Anritsu, Keysight, and related trace/log analysis and test scripting tools (e.g., RTD).
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Perl, Shell, TCL, TTCN.
• Knowledge of C/C++ and working on Linux-based platforms.
• Experience in automation and debugging within wireless communication domains (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, VSAT-SATCOM).
