As a Software Engineer at IBM ISDL, you will be involved in the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and development to testing and deployment. You’ll work collaboratively with global teams, end users, and product stakeholders to build highly scalable and innovative systems software that drives enterprise transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support core IBM Systems products across firmware, operating systems, cloud software, and systems software.
• Collaborate with global product management and development teams to transform user and business requirements into technical solutions.
• Engage in full-stack development using modern technologies like ReactJS, Java, Python, GoLang, and more.
• Contribute to validation, debugging, and support initiatives to enhance product reliability and performance.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance through robust coding and testing practices.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in systems engineering, cloud computing, and DevOps practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, GoLang, ReactJS, Groovy.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux internals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization and cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a global team setting.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with OpenStack, cloud application development, DevOps, and security best practices.
• Experience with web UI frameworks such as Vaadin, ReactJS, and UI libraries like Bootstrap/Material UI.
• Knowledge of J2EE, JSP, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
• Experience with tools like Ansible, Node.js, and relational databases using SQL.
• Exposure to AI/ML, data science, or NLP technologies is a strong plus.
• Understanding of server performance management, capacity planning, and diagnostics.
