IBM | Cloud Engineer – Kubernetes, DevOps & Hybrid Cloud

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cloud Microservices Engineer to join our team, dedicated to designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions within enterprise microservices architectures. This role involves developing, deploying, and managing scalable applications in hybrid-cloud environments, with a focus on Kubernetes (OpenShift preferred), cloud-native development, and containerization technologies.

Job Description :-

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Architect and implement enterprise-level microservices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
🔹 Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
🔹 Design, develop, and deploy solutions on Kubernetes/OpenShift, leveraging Docker and container orchestration.
🔹 Support hybrid-cloud environments, including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and cloud applications, with a strong understanding of virtualization technologies.
🔹 Manage multiple customer accounts and projects, maintaining high-quality service delivery under pressure.
🔹 Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Travis.
🔹 Automate processes with Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages (Python, Java, C/C++).
🔹 Conduct proof-of-concepts (PoCs), develop demo assets, and deliver enablement sessions to showcase technical solutions.
🔹 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure seamless project delivery.
🔹 Integrate observability tools and solutions for proactive monitoring and optimization.
🔹 Ensure adherence to cloud security principles and best practices, with an understanding of networking concepts and technologies.

Preferred Skills and Expertise

✅ Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Java, REST APIs, microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Linux package porting, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), virtualization management, and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Travis, GitHub Actions) and automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of observability tools and cloud-native development.
• Familiarity with catalog services, DevOps methodologies, and networking concepts.
• Experience with Selenium, unit testing, functional, and integration test case execution.
• Exposure to Z Systems, storage, networking, security, and machine learning libraries is a plus.

Required Education
