About the Role

Amazon India is looking for passionate and innovative Data Engineer Interns to join our dynamic technology team. This is an incredible opportunity to build, maintain, and optimize complex data pipelines while contributing to large-scale data solutions that power critical business insights and decisions.

As a Data Engineer Intern, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams of business analysts, software developers, and data engineers. You will get hands-on exposure to cutting-edge AWS technologies, big data platforms, and data lake architectures, all while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

📍 Job Locations: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune (and other locations across India)
📅 Internship Type: Full-time (full-time commitment required during the internship duration).

Job Description :-

Key Responsibilities

✅ Design, implement, and support analytical data platform solutions to enable data-driven decisions and insights
✅ Develop data models, schemas, and operate SQL/NoSQL data warehouses
✅ Build and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS big data tools (EMR, RedShift, Glue, Lambda, S3, etc.)
✅ Work on data lake technologies and SQL frameworks like Hive, Spark, Impala
✅ Continuously improve data analysis processes, ensuring data integrity and scalability
✅ Collaborate with stakeholders to drive key metrics, reporting solutions, and dashboards
✅ Embrace best practices for data reporting, validation, and documentation

Basic Qualifications

🎓 Final year Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
💻 Hands-on experience in SQL and programming languages (e.g., Python)
📊 Strong understanding of RDBMS, NoSQL, Big Data, ETL, and data warehousing concepts
📝 Excellent communication skills with a fast-learning, adaptable mindset

Preferred Qualifications

🌟 Hands-on experience with AWS services like S3, EMR, Redshift, RDS
🌟 Familiarity with cloud platforms and reporting/visualization tools
🌟 Knowledge of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP, OS concepts)
🌟 Sharp problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguous requirements
🌟 Awareness of software development best practices and agile methodologies.
