Role Overview

As an AI Engineer at IBM, you will play a key role in driving sales execution and client success by engineering pilot platforms that deliver measurable technical and business outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional Client Engineering teams, deploying solutions across Hybrid Cloud environments, and enabling adoption of WatsonX and other IBM strategic software. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with modern cloud-native and automation practices.

Job Description :-

Key Responsibilities

• Pilot Engineering & Deployment
  • Deploy pilot platforms to support client technical and business objectives.
  • Improve deployment processes for Client Engineering pilots.
  • Co-create solutions with clients to build strong relationships and ensure adoption.
• Hybrid Cloud Expertise
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Hybrid Cloud platforms, particularly OpenShift.
  • Work with hypervisors, cloud providers, and managed offerings (ROKS, ROSA, ARO).
  • Deploy WatsonX and other IBM software across Hybrid Cloud using DevOps/MLOps practices.
• Modern Methodologies & Automation
  • Apply Cloud-native frameworks, SRE practices, DevOps, GitOps, MLOps.
  • Use IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates) for automation.
  • Provide architectural guidance for Hybrid Cloud (on-prem + public cloud).
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
  • Partner with Client Engineering and technical sales teams to build scalable solutions.
  • Document, share, and reuse key assets, best practices, and success stories.
  • Promote Hybrid Cloud adoption and effectively communicate technical solutions to clients.

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

• Strong experience in deploying containerized applications (Kubernetes).
• Ability to troubleshoot deployments and guide clients with best practices.
• Understanding of public cloud services (compute, networking, storage, security).
• Proficiency in DevOps, GitOps, and MLOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates).
• Ability to provide architectural guidance for Hybrid Cloud deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of WatsonX products.
• Exposure to commercial product software development.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
