Role Overview: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We are seeking a passionate and driven Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our world-class engineering team. As an SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our scalable SaaS platforms by developing robust automation frameworks and contributing to test architecture and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and automated test suites using Java and Selenium.
  • Ensure system reliability by implementing critical quality checks and balances across the platform.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps to enable seamless and high-quality product releases.
  • Participate in daily QA tasks, test case design, and execution to validate software functionality.
  • Drive innovation by contributing to new QA initiatives and technical solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and developers to improve testing strategies and customer experience.
  • Proactively identify bugs and performance issues within microservices-based architecture.

Required Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Java programming and Selenium automation tools.
  • Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience testing SaaS products and working knowledge of software architecture.
  • Familiarity with Databases like MySQL or MongoDB is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Test Management Tools like JIRA.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket) and basic Unix/Linux commands.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Exposure to microservices testing and performance validation.

Nice to Have

  • ISTQB certification or equivalent testing qualifications.
  • Hands-on experience with test strategy formulation and test data management.
  • Prior work in agile development environments with fast-paced production releases.
  • Empathy towards end-users and a passion for enhancing the customer experience.
