Job Summary:

Role Overview:

In this exciting internship role, you’ll collaborate with top researchers and engineers to:

  • Develop and implement AI algorithms tailored for aerospace engineering data.
  • Work on search and recommendation systems to boost productivity across engineering teams.
  • Tackle unique challenges related to domain-specific data, safety-critical workflows, and data quality.
  • Design experiments, conduct rigorous evaluations, and communicate insights through technical reports or potential publications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply machine learning and NLP techniques to real-world aerospace problems.
  • Build data pipelines and AI models using Python.
  • Conduct experiments and validations on domain-specific datasets.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to scientific publications or invention disclosures when applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Specialization in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Statistics.
  • At least 1 year of experience in independent research work.
  • Proficient in Python and building ML solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a PhD program with 3+ years of research experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and vision-based algorithms.
  • Previous publications in top-tier AI/ML conferences or workshops.
  • Industry-relevant project experience (e.g., Aviation, Healthcare, Energy, or Manufacturing).
  • Strong grasp of algorithm design, optimization, and computing architectures.
