Role: QA Engineer – Manual & Automation Testing

Location: Hybrid (Office presence will be discussed with the hiring manager)
Experience: 0.6 to 1.5 years
Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases, scripts, and test plans.
• Perform comprehensive functional, regression, and integration testing for software applications.
• Log and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand functional requirements and design feedback.
• Analyze and interpret test results, delivering detailed reports to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve the testing process by exploring new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Ensure quality standards are met before product releases.

Technical Skills Required

• Good understanding of SDLC and software testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, WebDriverIO, etc.
• Familiarity with test management and bug tracking systems (e.g., TestRail, JIRA).
• Knowledge of SQL and ability to work with relational databases.
• Basic understanding of web technologies – HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• High attention to detail and organizational discipline.
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
• Self-driven, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory)

• ISTQB – International Software Testing Qualifications Board
• CSTE – Certified Software Tester
• CSQA – Certified Software Quality Analyst

Eligibility Criteria

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree with 0.6 to 1.5 years of relevant QA experience.

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in both manual and automation testing of web and software applications.
