Role Overview

We are seeking a Graduate Data Engineer with strong analytical skills and a passion for building data-driven solutions. In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior team members to develop your technical expertise in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Machine Learning while contributing to impactful projects in the US healthcare domain.

Job Description :-

Primary Responsibilities

1. Develop Technical Proficiency

• Gain expertise in Java, Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Learn Entity-Relationship (ER) modeling to understand enterprise database systems.
• Apply Data Warehousing principles to design Data Marts and De-normalized views for Machine Learning and Business Intelligence (BI) use cases.
• Utilize Big Data tools (Hadoop, R, Python) to solve complex healthcare data challenges.
• Build a strong understanding of the US healthcare domain.

2. Requirements Analysis & Planning

• Work with Senior Data Engineers and managers to gather requirements and design data models for Data Science and BI projects.
• Assist in creating detailed project plans and activity checklists.
• Participate in client communications for data exploration, requirement gathering, and solution strategy.
• Maintain metadata documentation for project data sources.

3. Collaboration

• Partner with Enterprise Data Lake teams to understand data formats, storage, and extraction processes.
• Collaborate with Data Science and BI teams to engineer data pipelines and platforms for business solutions.

4. Design & Development

• Create Data Marts, De-normalized Views, and Data Models to support analytics and reporting.
• Implement data quality control processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.

5. Capability Development

• Support senior members in developing new team capabilities and innovative solutions.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and evolving work arrangements.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of experience with:
  • Programming Languages: Python, Scala, or Java
  • Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure
  • NoSQL Databases: HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra
  • Unix Shell Scripting
  • Version Control: GitHub
  • Relational Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, IBM DB2, MySQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge/experience with Big Data Ecosystem: Hive, Sqoop, Spark (RDD, SQL, Streaming), Kafka
• Understanding of Dimensional Modeling in Big Data or Cloud environments
• Experience with Data Warehousing design – FACT tables, Snowflake schema
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch
• Cloud experience in Azure or AWS
• Containerization skills – Docker, Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
