Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Platform Engineer to lead technical implementation, deployment, and optimization of the Data Robot AI platform in an enterprise Azure environment. This role requires deep technical expertise in Kubernetes (preferably Azure Kubernetes Service – AKS), Azure DevOps (ADO), containerized deployment, and AI/ML model integration and monitoring.

As a technical leader, you will play a key role in onboarding legacy models (SAS and Data Robot Prime), upgrading the Data Robot platform, configuring Azure infrastructure, and supporting cross-functional teams in delivering scalable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical subject matter expert for the DataRobot AI platform, ensuring smooth configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with data science, AI, and business teams to implement optimized DataRobot solutions.
• Onboard and configure legacy SAS and Python (Prime v6) models into DataRobot v8.0.21 and prepare for upgrade to v11.
• Ingest LST files and integrate model performance metrics within DataRobot.
• Execute onboarded models using historical datasets, generate monitoring reports, and validate outputs.
• Replicate Power BI dashboard metrics within the DataRobot platform using native visualization tools.
• Lead DataRobot upgrade on Azure (v8 to v11) and configure necessary Azure services (e.g., AKS, storage, networking).
• Debug and resolve AKS deployment issues, optimize container setups, and ensure production scalability.
• Provide internal training and documentation on platform usage and best practices.
• Manage Jira workflows (PreDev, PostDev, Prod, RTx) and adhere to Shield process compliance.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, user guides, and deployment SOPs.
• Continuously evaluate AI/ML advancements and integrate emerging technologies to enhance
• platform capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Primary Skill: Kubernetes (preferably Azure Kubernetes Service – AKS)
• Additional Skills: Azure DevOps (ADO), Azure networking, storage, and container management
• Proven experience in DataRobot deployment and configuration in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of Python and ability to interpret SAS-based models.
• Experience with model execution, monitoring, and performance metric analysis.
• Familiarity with Power BI and ability to translate visualizations into the DataRobot ecosystem.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, platform support, and scalable architecture design.
• Clear and concise communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and team training.
• Experience managing projects through Jira and navigating enterprise governance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in regulated industries such as banking or finance.
• Prior experience with U.S. Bank’s Shield process or similar compliance protocols.
• Understanding of MLOps, model lifecycle management, and AI/ML operations in production environments.
