Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior or Trainee Accountant – Accounts Payable Associate to join our finance team in Bangalore. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for recent commerce graduates or postgraduates with a passion for accounting and financial processes. As part of the accounts payable function, you will be responsible for processing various types of invoices, resolving queries, and supporting payment operations with accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase order (PO) invoices, non-PO invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
  • Analyze and resolve blocked invoices in a timely manner.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders and clients to address and resolve invoice-related queries.
  • Prepare daily reports and update stakeholders on invoice processing status.
  • Follow up on pending documentation required for vendor payments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transactions.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and maintain high-quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce or Finance (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance).
  • 0–1 year of hands-on experience in the accounts payable process.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts as required.
  • Quick learner with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
