About the Role

Join IBM’s dynamic Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team, a core part of our expanding global cloud ecosystem. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll contribute to designing, building, and operating robust infrastructure solutions that support IBM’s cloud-native services. This high-impact, hands-on role blends software development, DevOps practices, cloud architecture, and end-user support, providing you with opportunities to make significant contributions across the full stack.

You’ll be part of a small, agile, and technically strong team that plays a critical role in enabling IBM developers and product teams to innovate at scale. If you’re passionate about automation, infrastructure-as-code, cloud computing, and open-source technologies—this is the role for you.

Job Description :-

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of code changes: from development to deployment, including code reviews, automated testing, and production support.
• Use open-source tools for monitoring, instrumentation, alerting, and debugging to ensure high service reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations to help maintain uptime and resolve production issues quickly.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, helping shape the future of IBM’s internal services and cloud-native platforms.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across global time zones—excellent communication skills are essential.
• Provide hands-on end-user support, helping internal developers streamline and optimize their build and deployment workflows.
• Continuously explore and integrate the latest technologies in cloud infrastructure, including VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai, and others.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Science (B.E./B.Tech).
• Proficient in one or more programming languages: Golang, Python, C++, or Java.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Passion for DevOps, automation, and infrastructure reliability.
• Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with IBM Cloud services and familiarity with cloud deployment strategies.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, container orchestration tools (Kubernetes/OpenShift), and service meshes like Istio.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud security.
