About the Program

The Google Software Application Development Apprenticeship/Data Analytics Apprenticeship is a 12-month learning and development program designed for recent graduates and aspiring software developers. This hybrid apprenticeship provides structured training (20% of time in classroom learning) and hands-on project work (80% with Google teams), preparing candidates for entry-level careers in software engineering and application development.

As an apprentice, you’ll gain exposure to coding, development, testing, project management, and industry best practices while working with Google teams across India.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must not have participated in any prior Government Apprenticeship programs.
  • Must have a valid Aadhaar linked to an active mobile number and a personal email ID (mandatory for verification).
  • Willingness to commit to the 12-month hybrid apprenticeship (in-person at a Google office).
  • Completion certificate will be provided only upon successful completion of the full program.
  • Candidates may apply for full-time opportunities at Google only during the final 3 months of the apprenticeship.

Applicants can select their preferred location from the following Google offices in India:

  • Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • Gurgaon, Haryana
  • Hyderabad, Telangana
  • Mumbai, Maharashtra

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Workspace or similar productivity tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Comfortable managing ambiguous tasks and competing priorities.
  • Passion for learning new technologies (demonstrated via projects or personal initiatives).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
