Purpose of the Role

Key Accountabilities

  • Investigate and analyse data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and source identification.
  • Execute data cleansing, transformation, and preprocessing for accurate analysis.
  • Design and build automated data pipelines for seamless movement and processing.
  • Develop and apply advanced analytics, ML, and AI techniques to solve complex business problems.
  • Translate business questions into data definitions and source-to-target mapping documents.
  • Automate data testing using Python scripting and BI tools (Qlik or similar).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and testers to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Document data quality findings and provide actionable recommendations.

Core Skills & Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Data Science, or related field).

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Workday (Core HCM & Recruitment), Prism Analytics.
  • Strong background in data quality, cleansing, preprocessing, and EDA.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, and BI/automation tools.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Understanding of data and security frameworks, ideally within HR function.
  • Familiarity with big data architecture (Hive / Impala) and microservices.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and Workday payroll processes.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working.
