About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Vice President – Data Analyst (Governance & Records Management) to join our team in Pune. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective governance frameworks for data and records across global banking operations. This position requires strong expertise in data controls, risk management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement while leading initiatives that strengthen governance standards across the organization.

Job Description :-

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor and enhance data quality metrics and ensure compliance across all business functions.
• Identify, assess, and address data management risks and gaps proactively.
• Design and implement a records management program, ensuring efficient classification, storage, retention, retrieval, and disposal of records.
• Establish a data governance strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and supports regulatory reporting.
• Provide enterprise-wide guidance and training on data and records management practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in governance and compliance processes.
• Engage in complex analysis of multi-source data to derive insights, recommend improvements, and solve governance challenges.
• Identify risks, recommend mitigations, and develop new policies to support the control and governance agenda.
• Communicate and influence stakeholders by presenting complex information effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in data governance, data controls, and data lineage methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with data products, cloud platforms, and data warehouses.
• Domain expertise in Retail Banking, Regulatory Reporting, or related financial services.
• Proven experience working in a regulated environment with solid knowledge of risk and control management.
• Familiarity with data control technologies and governance frameworks.
• Ability to drive change proactively and implement process improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating at senior levels.
• Strong data analytics and insight generation capabilities to enable data-driven decision-making.
• Experience managing or contributing to large teams delivering complex, high-governance services.
