Role Overview

As a Graduate Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will work on next-generation technologies for mobile platforms, embedded systems, multimedia, wireless communications, and IoT. You will be part of a dynamic team that builds high-performance, scalable, and real-time software for Qualcomm chipsets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software for Qualcomm’s mobile SoCs and embedded platforms.
  • Develop real-time embedded software, device drivers, and middleware.
  • Work on Android, Linux, or Windows-based platforms for mobile and embedded systems.
  • Contribute to platform-level software such as Board Support Packages (BSPs) and Linux kernel development.
  • Participate in the design and development of multimedia applications involving audio, video, imaging codecs.
  • Engage in wireless modem development, covering 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop communication protocol stacks and connectivity firmware.
  • Apply object-oriented principles using C/C++, with a focus on optimization and performance.
  • Collaborate across teams in a highly agile and innovation-driven environment.

Preferred Skills & Technologies

  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, and object-oriented design.
  • Sound understanding of operating system concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Exposure to wireless communication standards (CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE).
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX, kernel modules, device drivers.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as TCP/UDP, IP, SIP, RTP.
  • Knowledge of multimedia systems: audio processing, video encoding/decoding, and image handling.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and deliver efficient solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with a team-first mindset.
