SECUROTHON 2025 Internship is your opportunity to learn, experiment, and contribute to real-world software projects while building a strong foundation in backend development, data structures, algorithms, and cloud-native environments.
- Role: Software Engineer – Intern
- Target Batch: 2026 Pass-outs
- Duration: 4-5 months (Jan-May)
- Mode of Work: 5 days WFO
- Stipend: INR 50,000 per month
- Work Locations: Bangalore and Pune

Candidates must be prepared to work from either Pune or Bangalore, as the final location will be assigned based on project requirements.
Who Can Participate
- Final-year students graduating in 2026
- Background in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI/ML, or related disciplines
- Strong problem-solving skills and interest in real-world engineering challenges
Ideal Candidates
For Java / PHP
- Strong programming fundamentals in Java or PHP
- Understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOP
- Basic scripting and backend coding skills
- Awareness of DevOps tools, CI/CD concepts, and Agile methodology
- Interest in systems that process large-scale data
For Data Science
- Strong foundation in Python
- Understanding of Data Analysis, Statistics, and Exploratory Data Analysis
- Exposure to Machine Learning concepts
- Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy
- Curious, analytical, and data-driven mindset
Software Engineer – Intern (Java / PHP)
Skills to Demonstrate
- Programming fundamentals in Java or PHP
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts
- Basic experience with backend development and scripting
- Understanding of relational databases (SQL)
- Awareness of RESTful APIs and backend service integration
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining backend components using Java or PHP
- Apply OOP principles to build modular and reusable code
- Support API development and backend integrations
- Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data
- Assist in debugging, testing, and improving existing backend systems
- Contribute to tools and frameworks supporting NextGen SIEM platforms
- Follow coding standards, security practices, and Agile development processes
Data Science Engineer – Intern
Skills to Demonstrate
- Programming proficiency in Python
- Understanding of Data Science fundamentals, including:
- Data cleaning and preprocessing
- Basic statistics and exploratory data analysis
- Introductory machine learning concepts
- Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, and Jupyter Notebooks
- Interest in large-scale data, such as logs and event streams
- Basic knowledge of big-data ecosystems (Hadoop is a plus)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing structured and unstructured datasets
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and anomalies
- Support feature engineering and dataset preparation
- Assist in building, testing, and evaluating ML or rule-based models
- Analyse large volumes of log and event data used in security analytics
- Document model outputs, findings, and observations
- Learn how data-driven solutions are applied in cybersecurity and SIEM platforms

Contest Details
- First, candidates must register for SECUROTHON 2025.
- All registrations will undergo screening and shortlisting.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the webinar (Tech Talk with Leadership).
- After attending the webinar, shortlisted candidates will receive an invite for the online assessment.
- Post assessment, shortlisted candidates will be evaluated for the interview stages.
- Final shortlisted candidates will be invited for face-to-face interviews.
