Job Description :-

Primary Responsibilities

Develop Proficiency

• Gain expertise in Java, Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Excel/Access/PowerPoint.
• Learn and apply Entity-Relational Database Models to understand enterprise database systems.
• Apply Data Warehousing design principles to create Data Marts and de-normalized views for ML models and BI dashboards.
• Leverage UHG’s Big Data Analytics Infrastructure (Hadoop, R, Python) to solve real-world healthcare domain problems.
• Acquire foundational knowledge of the US Healthcare domain.

Requirements Analysis & Planning

• Work under the guidance of Senior Data Engineers/Managers to gather requirements and design data models for Data Science & BI projects.
• Assist in creating project plans and task lists to implement solutions.
• Participate in client communications for data exploration, requirement gathering, and solution strategies.
• Document and present metadata information of data sources during team meetings.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Lake Teams to understand data storage formats and extraction methods.
• Partner with Data Science & BI teams to engineer data solutions for business problems.

Design & Development

• Build Data Marts, De-normalized views, and Data Models.
• Implement Data Quality control processes.

Capability Development & Compliance

• Work with senior members to develop new team capabilities.
• Adhere to company policies, project guidelines, and flexible work arrangements as per business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate Degree (Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent).
• Experience: 0–2 years in relevant technologies.
• Skills:
  • Programming in Python / Scala / Java.
  • Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
  • NoSQL Databases – HBase / MongoDB / Cassandra.
  • Unix Shell Scripting.
  • Configuration Management – GitHub.
  • Relational Databases – SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, IBM DB2, MySQL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge/experience with Big Data Ecosystem – Hive, Sqoop, Spark (RDD, SQL, Streaming), Kafka.
• Familiarity with Dimensional Modeling in Big Data or Cloud environments.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing Design (Fact tables, Snowflake schema).
• Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodology.
• Experience with ElasticSearch.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Technologies (Azure / AWS).
• Familiarity with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint for reporting & presentations.
