Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our IBM Client Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering pilot platforms that deliver measurable customer outcomes and accelerating the deployment of Client Engineering pilots. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize Hybrid Cloud solutions, leveraging OpenShift, WatsonX, and other IBM strategic software. This position requires strong expertise in DevOps, MLOps, deployment automation, and Hybrid Cloud platforms.

Job Description :-

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical knowledge and guidance in Hybrid Cloud and AI engineering.
• Solution Deployment: Engineer pilot platforms to achieve customer business and technical outcomes.
• Hybrid Cloud Expertise: Deploy solutions across OpenShift, hypervisors, and cloud providers, including ROKS, ROSA, and ARO.
• IBM Software Deployment: Implement WatsonX and IBM’s strategic software using DevOps/MLOps best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Client Engineering teams to co-create solutions and deliver comprehensive pilot implementations.
• Cloud-Native Practices: Apply modern methods such as Cloud-native frameworks, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, GitOps, and MLOps.
• Knowledge Sharing: Develop reference cases, document best practices, and share learnings with Client Engineering and technical sales teams.
• Client Engagement: Build strong client relationships and advocate for Hybrid Cloud adoption through clear communication and technical expertise.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Containerization: Strong experience in deploying containerized applications, especially on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot deployments and guide clients on best practices.
• Public Cloud Knowledge: Solid understanding of compute, networking, storage, and security in public cloud environments.
• Hybrid Cloud Architecture: Experience providing architectural guidance for Hybrid Cloud solutions (on-prem + public cloud).
• Automation Tools: Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools such as:
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • ARM Templates
• Best Practices: Familiarity with DevOps, GitOps, MLOps, and platform automation frameworks.
