Job Summary

As a Data Scientist in the Finance domain, you will:

  • Identify new data sources, perform data cleansing, and organize large datasets for analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage data science, finance domain knowledge, and digital tools to build smart solutions for real-world problems.
  • Use programming languages and data mining tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Design and develop algorithms and build scalable, data-driven applications.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning models to uncover patterns, predict trends, and derive insights that drive financial performance.
  • Create compelling data stories through visualizations, enabling clear communication of complex insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance during data preparation and transformation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand business requirements and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data science and financial analytics.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in:
    • Machine Learning (ML)
    • Data Science
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
    • Data Engineering
    • Data Analytics
    • Mathematical or Statistical Modeling

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Strong grasp of predictive analytics, statistical techniques, and data wrangling.
  • Effective communication skills to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated results orientation and learning agility.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and data pipelines is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain a customer-centric approach.
