About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic Software Engineers to join IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL). This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the entire product development lifecycle — from design and development to testing and support — across cutting-edge IBM Systems technologies, including Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software, and Cloud Software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and support IBM Systems products while collaborating with global development, product management teams, and end users.
• Analyze product requirements, propose optimal design solutions, implement code, and perform end-to-end testing through the product lifecycle.
• Contribute to the validation and support of IBM Systems offerings.
• Be part of a dynamic, culture-driven team delivering best-in-class user experiences and deployment environments for IBM’s global customer base.
• Drive innovation in systems technologies and help shape future product directions.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

Required Technical and Professional Skills:

• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, GoLang, ReactJS, Groovy.
• Strong understanding of operating systems concepts (Unix/Linux internals), data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud computing technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes/Dockers.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a global environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of OpenStack, security practices, DevOps, and cloud application development.
• Experience with web UI frameworks (e.g., Vaadin, ReactJS) and libraries like Bootstrap/Material.
• Hands-on expertise with J2EE, JSP, RESTful web services, and GraphQL API.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, Ansible, databases (SQL), and NodeJS.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML, data science, and NLP concepts.
• Awareness of server performance management, capacity planning, and diagnostics.
