Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into automated test strategies and customer-centric solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated test cases for UI (Angular), REST APIs, and system-level features.
  • Implement test automation using Cucumber with Webdriver.io for frontend and Python-based tools for backend testing.
  • Set up simulation/lab environments using Bash, Ansible, and other scripting tools for system testing scenarios.
  • Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Identify, track, and document defects using JIRA, and actively participate in Agile scrum ceremonies.
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or TeamCity.
  • Generate and maintain clear and concise test documentation, status reports, and automated test results.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt the best testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • UI Automation: Proficiency in Cucumber, Webdriver.io for Angular UI testing.
  • API Testing: REST API automation using tools like Postman, Newman, Jasmine.
  • System Testing: Hands-on with Bash, Shell, Python, and Ansible scripting.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Performance Testing: Using JMeter, Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Scripting/Programming: Strong command over Python, with knowledge of HTML, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript a plus.
  • Version Control: Git, Bitbucket.
  • Cloud Platforms: Exposure to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and shell operations.
  • Testing Fundamentals: Deep understanding of testing types, methodologies, asynchronous testing, and test reporting.

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

  • Experience with Angular 2+, Node.js, D3.js, SVG for frontend UI understanding.
  • Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, Neo4j, and ClickHouse.
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Elastic Search, Drools, and SSO frameworks like LDAP, OAuth2.
  • Exposure to Test Management Tools like TestRail and documentation tools like Confluence.
  • Background in Telecom, OSS, or Computer Networking domains.
