About the Role: iOS SDE-1

We are hiring passionate and skilled iOS Software Development Engineers (SDE-1) to join our Consumer Tech team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the core Swiggy mobile app used by millions of customers for food, grocery, and dine-in experiences.

You will work alongside a team of talented iOS engineers, building high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly features that shape the way India orders and enjoys everyday essentials.

Key Responsibilities

  • App Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Swift/SwiftUI code to build and enhance Swiggy’s iOS application.
  • Architecture & Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust app architecture that supports modularity and scalability.
  • Testing & Quality: Create unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and performance. Contribute to automation strategies.
  • Performance Tuning: Identify bottlenecks, optimize app responsiveness, and conduct performance profiling.
  • Documentation: Maintain high-quality technical documentation including API specs, release notes, and architecture design.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers in Agile sprints and ceremonies.
  • Innovation & Learning: Stay ahead with the latest trends in iOS development and continuously improve engineering processes and coding standards.

Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in iOS app development.
  • Expertise in Swift and hands-on experience with Xcode, iOS SDK, and modern iOS frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.).
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and related data formats.
  • Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Bonus: Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM) is a major plus.
