Job description
Please note: We are a remote-first organization so you can work from anywhere in India. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern (SQL) to help uncover actionable insights from our academic data lake. In this role, you will work with large datasets to identify trends, generate meaningful insights, and create engaging content for our social media and blog posts.
This 3 month internship is an unique opportunity for someone passionate about data analysis and storytelling to make a real impact in the academic publishing and research domain.
Job responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large volumes of academic data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Run complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for analysis
- Collaborate with the internal stakeholders to translate data insights into compelling stories and visualizations for blogs and social media
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively to internal stakeholders
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in data analytics and academic research

Qualifications and prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present insights in a clear and engaging manner
- Passion for working with data and uncovering insights that drive decision-making
- Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus
- Interest in academic research and publishing is highly desirable
