Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline technical support for EDA software/tools, resolving customer queries.
- Develop and execute scripts in Python, TCL, and Shell to automate testing, debugging, flow orchestration and workflow optimizations.
- Diagnose and replicate issues on Linux-based systems, leveraging deep knowledge of Linux environments for root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate complex problems from our software
- Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to customer training materials.
- Monitor support metrics and drive continuous improvement in response times and resolution rates.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and communication, Computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in the EDA industry, with hands-on exposure to tools like Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens (Mentor Graphics).
- Proficiency in scripting with Python, TCL, and Shell for automation and data processing.
- Strong Linux knowledge, including command-line proficiency, system administration, and troubleshooting.
- Solid electronics background, including understanding of digital/analog design, VLSI, Embedded, Emulation concepts.
- Proven customer support experience, with excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Certification in Linux (e.g., RHCSA) or relevant EDA tools or VLSI course. Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with Siemens Altair Accelerator and/or Flowtracer (or competitive workload managers such as IBM Spectrum LSF or Grid Engine).

- Understanding of CAD infrastructure: Experience designing, configuring, or managing compute clusters and distributed computing environments for chip design workflows.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Siemens EDA tools including Questa, Calibre, or other Siemens Digital Industries Software Solutions.
- Knowledge of hybrid on-premise/cloud environments for EDA workloads and experience with cloud bursting strategies for compute-intensive design tasks.
- Familiarity with containerized EDA workflows and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Singularity) in semiconductor design contexts.
- Understanding of AI/ML applications in chip design including ML-driven optimization, design space exploration, and intelligent job scheduling.
